A Puget Sound native since the age of three, Jesse has lived and always loved the 6th District. With humble beginnings, he was raised mostly in the Hilltop neighborhood with his brother by his hard-working single mom.
Jesse has beaten the odds and moved mountains in his past, and his determination to help our community rise up from circumstances equally daunting has fueled his decision to put aside his career to make a difference. Time has shown him to be a hard-working man who truly believes in the principle of non-negotiable integrity. As a devoted husband and father of five beautiful kids, Jesse is a family man who daily exemplifies servant leadership.
Fresh out of college, Jesse was hired by a prominent software company as a systems consultant. After spending a year in California's Silicon Valley, he and his wife returned to their beloved Pacific Northwest. Jesse worked as a traveling consultant for six years, serving major corporations in the aerospace, real estate, energy, healthcare, and insurance industries. Jesse's consulting experience in each of these industries has resulted in a very unique knowledge base that would allow him educated influence over legislative matters affecting these areas. While thankful for the experiences he gained as a traveling consultant, the growth of his family at home in Gig Harbor resulted in a desire to stay local. In 2007, he was hired at Russell Investments in Tacoma where he most recently resigned his position as Senior Business Technology Consultant.
Throughout his professional career, Jesse has been an involved member of his church and an active participant in the local community. He's served on both local volunteer teams and international compassion ministries. Those who know him well say that his direct manner and "get it done" personality type are dwarfed by his kind and generous spirit.
